Student Tour of Rothschild Hall Renovation at the Barrie School

On Tuesday, February 6th, Barrie Montessori and grade 6 students enjoyed seeing the progress of the Rothschild Hall renovation with Head of School, Jon Kidder, Head of Barrie Montessori, Margie Smetana, and HBW’s Superintendent, James Pumphrey. James was excited for students to tour the renovation at this point so they could see the infrastructure, and learn about the components of the wall/insulation systems, steel beams, duct work, cement flooring, and roof system.

HBW Construction mobilized construction on the Rothschild Hall renovation project in November 2017, and it is set to be complete in the late Spring of 2018. Rothschild Hall is one of Barrie’s original Montessori buildings, and housed lower elementary classrooms, a library, and summer camp activities. This complete renovation will improve the interior and exterior components of the building, and serve students for years to come. HBW is proud to be part of a project that is creating a space to inspire students in their continued learning.
