Our people make us who we are.

Here at HBW, we’re a team — but we’re also a group of unique individuals. To showcase our individual strengths, we’ll be spotlighting a different employee each month. These are the people who help make us, well, us.

Name: Megan Graham

Job Title: Senior Project Accountant

Years at HBW: 18 Years

Total years experience: 21 Years

What excites you most about the work you do?

While accounting can be full of routine tasks, each construction project seems to bring a new challenge.  I enjoy the collaboration it takes with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors to make a successful project from start to finish.

What do you like best about working at HBW?

The people, the opportunities, and the team environment are what I like best.  Eighteen years ago, I started as a temporary employee on a 2-day assignment, which turned into a permanent opportunity.  I have made lifelong connections and can count on my coworkers, both personally and professionally.

What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on so far?

It’s too hard to pick a favorite.  Vocus was probably the most unique project I worked on as the office space was designed to resemble a small town.  I also always love to see how the Busboys & Poets restaurants turn out.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with friends & family, going to concerts, traveling, and cheering on local sports teams (especially the Capitals)!

Anything else you think prospective employees should know about HBW?

HBW is a business with local roots that cares about its employees.  It’s a creative group of professionals that prides itself on quality and adaptability.  I especially admire HBW’s commitment to the community through various outreach efforts.
